Participants will receive all of the materials to complete this craft as a family.

Workshop prices vary based on the month's project. Each registration is good for up to five participants, as long as one adult is participating. Fee includes garden admission for the day. Pre-registration is required one week in advance of the workshop date. 

Saturday, March 7 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. | Animal Lamp Painting

Brighten up your space with a one-of-a-kind animal lamp! In this hands-on family workshop, you’ll paint and personalize an animal lamp to create a glowing work of art. Choose between a cat or dog lamp, then add your own creative flair as you bring it to life with color and design. Each family registration includes one animal lamp. Paint, brushes, and guidance from a staff member will be provided—just bring your imagination! Lamps will light up your room and make a fun keepsake to take home. Please register for either a cat or a dog when signing up.

Saturday, April 11 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. | Bird Houses

It’s the final full month of our exhibit Thomas Dambo's TROLLS: Save the Humans, and we’re celebrating by putting the trolls’ ideas into action! Join us as we explore simple ways to help nature and make a difference together. Each family registration includes three prebuilt birdhouses in different shapes to paint and decorate. Once finished, you can take them home to provide welcoming new spaces for birds in your own neighborhood. All birdhouses, paint, and brushes will be provided, just bring your creativity!

Saturday, May 9 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. | Mother's Day Flower Card Holder
Looking for a special gift for Mom? Join us for a hands-on family workshop where you’ll create adorable flower card holders—perfect for sharing a heartfelt message. Each family registration includes materials to make a set of two flowers, decorate two small pots, and add playful butterfly accents. Cardstock will be available so you can write a message to make your gift extra special. This creative workshop is a fun way to spend time together while making something Mom is sure to love.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS:
If a registration for a program must be cancelled, registration fees will be refunded if notice is received at least one week before the program date. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations within one week of the start of the program or for participants that are late or do not show for a program. If Lauritzen Gardens cancels a program, phone or email notification will be made as early as possible and full refunds will be given. In case of severe weather, please call (402) 346-4002, ext. 201 or, on the weekends, (402) 346-4002, ext. 250 to check the status of the program.
