Join designer Karen Vice for creative floral arranging classes at Lauritzen Gardens, where each session offers a fresh approach to crafting beautiful floral designs. Topics vary, giving you the opportunity to explore different techniques, styles, and seasonal blooms.

Programs are designed for ages 16+

Monday, June 1, 6 to 7:30 p.m.  |  Botanical Design: Hydration Station
From flower farm to flower shop, we’ll explore how fresh flowers travel across states, countries, and continents. This class covers what different flower varieties need to properly rehydrate after their journey, and we’ll finish the evening by designing a fresh, well hydrated arrangement.
Workshop fee: $75  |  Garden members receive 20% off

Monday, July 20, 6 to 7:30 p.m.  |  Botanical Design: Boutonnieres and Pocket Squares
Homecoming season is on the horizon! Let’s learn about current trends and design fundamentals for boutonnieres and pocket square flowers. In addition to in-class materials, students will receive a take home “starter kit” to craft a boutonniere using the techniques learned in class. This class pairs well with Wrist Corsages and Flower Bracelets on August 24.

Monday, August 24, 6 to 7:30 p.m.  |  Botanical Design: Wrist Corsages and Flower Bracelets
Discover the latest trends and essential design techniques to create elegant wrist corsages and flower bracelets, then put your skills into practice this homecoming season. In addition to in-class materials, students will receive a take home “starter kit” to craft a corsage using the techniques learned in class.

Monday, September 14, 6 to 7:30 p.m.  |  Botanical Design: Finding Fall
The best elements for a beautiful fall arrangement can be found all around us. Come learn how to create a stunning, seasonal floral arrangement using various materials commonly found in nature such as branches, foliage, and autumn blooms.
