Each month’s class features a new design theme, so you'll have the chance to create a unique piece based on the current season or botanical inspiration. Jeannie’s expert guidance will help you through each step, from preparing the natural materials to the final weaving touches, ensuring that you leave with a finished product you're proud of.

This is a fairly large market basket that can be used at the farmers market or versatile, . This basket gets its name from the handle that will be used. It is smaller at the bottom and gradually gets wider as you weave. Different reed colors will be available to choose from at time of class. Approximate size is 11" long x 10" wide by 7" tall. Please allow the full five hours for this basket. Course fee is $55. Garden members receive 20% off!

Maya is a great basket for beginners! It is considered a medium-sized market basket with a square handle and will be woven with natural and dark brown reed. There will be a rust-colored metal embellishment that will be added after weaving has been completed. Dimensions will be approximately 9" long by 7" wide by 7" tall. Course fee is $55. Perfect for beginner basket weavers, this basket is woven on a 8x20” wooden handle, making it a good option for hanging on the door or on the wall. It features natural colored reed with bands of red and blue, giving it a patriotic design for summer holidays. There will be embellishment choices to choose from to customize your piece. Try a new basket weaving technique as we create a beautiful and functional fruit basket. Woven on a 6” round wooden base, we’ll be inserting spokes to produce a rounded rectangular shape with a slightly wavy rim. Explore one of the oldest human fiber crafts in this two-part class focused on traditional cordage and net making. Weave some fun into your week with this longer tote basket made for hauling tailgating food/supplies. It measures 10” w x 20” l, and the top of the basket (not including the handle) is 4”, so it is a shallow tote. Color choices and woven accents will be available to add some details to the finished piece. Despite its larger size, this basket is still a beginner-friendly project. Course fee is $55.
