Get ready for the Lauritzen Gardens Guild’s Inspiring Spring Luncheon on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Picture a vibrant gathering of friends, fresh cocktails (and mocktails), and lunch—all set against the backdrop of our stunning gardens.
This year’s signature event features guest speaker Michael P. Gibson, an award-winning topiary artist and founder of Gibson Works Property Art (GWPA), LLC. Known for transforming landscapes into living works of art, Michael has created more than 600 topiary designs nationwide and has been recognized for his leadership in horticulture, community beautification, and therapeutic garden practices. He has presented at major home and garden shows, served as a featured contestant on HGTV’s Clipped, and was named Artist-in-Residence at the Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden. His engaging presentations highlight the artistic and healing power of topiary while inspiring audiences of all ages.
Proceeds raised through the luncheon will assist the Lauritzen Gardens Guild in supporting educational field trips and tours for thousands of children who visit the garden each year. These visits provide meaningful teachable moments in a live botanical setting, giving children the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature while creating memories that last a lifetime.
