Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. Join origami artist, author and illustrator Linda Stephen to explore origami and the possibilities of paper. These make-it-take-it programs are designed for ages 16+. All materials will be provided, but participants can also bring their own favorite papers.
Saturday, July 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon | Origami: Lotus Flowers
Learn how to convert sheets of paper into a field of flowers through the art of origami. In this class, Linda Stephen will guide participants through folds and techniques to create easy lotus flowers. All materials will be provided, but participants can also bring their own favorite papers. Pre-registration is required one week in advance of the class.

Saturday, August 9 from 10:30 a.m. to noon | Origami: Baskets and Boxes
This session will take origami to a new and functional level. Join Linda Stephen to transform paper into 3D baskets and boxes that can be used in everyday life. Following a series of simple folds and techniques, artists of all levels can create vessels of their own and leave with the knowledge to make more in the future. All materials will be provided, but participants can also bring their own favorite papers. Pre-registration is required one week in advance of the class. $30, $20 for garden members.
