Thursday, August 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. |  Cyanotype Printmaking
It's like a blueprint! An alternative process of photography, cyanotype was invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842. Cyanotype is a beautiful photographic printing process that produces a Prussian blueprint with UV lighting. Today this striking artform is not only used to document nature but also to create unique images on paper, fabric or other found materials. In this workshop, led by Josie Langbehn, participants will explore cyanotype with natural flowers on paper, and be able to take home their own beautiful artwork. All materials provided. Absolutely no experience is necessary! Pre-registration is required one week in advance of the class. $45, $35 for garden members.
